Family creed

For your home

A family creed

Your family’s faith,
in your own words.

Proxima helps you write a short creed for your home. At its center is the Nicene Creed, the faith Christians have shared for over 1,600 years. Around it, your family says how you live that faith and what you value. Every line comes with a question to talk about together.

Three circles, one faith

The center holds everything around it. The outer rings say how it shows up in your home.

  1. At the center

    The Nicene Creed

What Christians everywhere have confessed together since the fourth century. It stays word for word. Your creed builds on it and never edits it.

  2. First ring · 6 lines

How we live it at home

What each part of the Creed looks like in your home: God our Father and Maker, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, The Church, Forgiveness, Hope.

    Our family values

Things your family cares about beyond the Creed, each rooted in it: How we speak, What we watch, Work, money and giving, Serving others.

How it works

  1. 01Answer one questionEach topic opens with a quick question about your family.
  2. 02React to short videosWatch 2 or 3 clips and say if they sound like you. Proxima asks a follow-up.
  3. 03Shape each lineProxima drafts a line from your answers. Change any word. Nothing goes in until you affirm it.
  4. 04Bring it homePrint your creed or share the link. Then use its questions at the table.

What a line looks like

An example from a made-up family. Yours will use your own words.

God our Father and Maker

We believe God made everything, seen and unseen, and every person carries His image. So in our home, we treat each other, and the neighbor who’s hard to like, as someone God made on purpose.

Genesis 1:27 · Psalm 139:14

Talk about it: Who is hard for you to see as made in God’s image? What would change if you did?

What to expect

  • Built on the Creed

The Nicene Creed stays at the center, unchanged. Every line you write has to fit with it.

  • Not here to settle debates

Proxima won’t take sides on questions Christians have long disagreed about, like baptism or the end times.

  • Your words, your call

Proxima drafts from what you share. You edit it, or ask for a rewrite, until it sounds like your family.

  • At your own pace

One person answers for the family. Proxima saves as you go, so you can stop and come back.
